Goodbye Derwent Hill
After another excellent night's sleep and a big breakfast the children split into groups to take part in our final activities of the week. Whilst groups 2, 3 and 4 took part in orienteering activities, group 1 took on the Death Swing.
Anticipation had been building all week for this activity and there were many conversations about who would and wouldn't be brave enough to try it. Every child in the group stepped up to the mark and conquered the swing and all agree it was a fantastic end to a brilliant week.
After our packed lunches we said thank you to the amazing Derwent Hill staff and started the long drive home, tired but much richer in the memory bank.
