Space Day 2017 - Out of this World!
Wow! What a fantastic day we had last Friday. Following the success of Swedish Day and a suggestion from one of lovely parents, Space Day was planned to coincide with National Space Week and we were blown away by its success.
Not only did NASA respond to an email requesting any resources we could utilise, but the effort put in by the children (and parents!) was phenomenal.
We spent the day having a virtual tour of the International Space Station, writing in role as an astronaut, rounding numbers based on interplanetary distances AND we explored the solar system. The children were ‘over the moon’ and the photos we have hold wonderful memories. Well done, Year 5!
