Friday Tin Day
Friday 3rd November was the first ‘No-uniform donate a tin of soup day’ for the 2017 – 2018 year and once again we were overwhelmed by the generosity and support of our parents. Members of the Year 6 morning reading squad collected and sorted the tins of soup and groceries from classes across school which totalled an amazing 410.
Mr Hanson from Sunderland’s Salvation Army called to collect the donations and informed the boys that they would be put to very good use, feeding homeless people across the city as well as in local food banks. Again Broadway proved to everyone that this is simply the best place to work and learn in Sunderland!
