Updates from Derwent Hill
Year 6 were off to a great start at Derwent Hill, we even managed to find some remaining snow on our mini hill walk today. The weather is cold (unsurprisingly), the food is great and we’re having so much fun already.
Group 3 climbed Grey Knotts in snow, ice and hail. Our instructor Chris was amazed at how well we co-operated as a team, as well as not having a single ‘whinger’ all day regardless of the weather. We were so lucky as we were able to sledge down the side of the mountain on our descent, followed by a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows when we reached the bottom.
