Roker Pier
Some of our lucky Geography competition winners claimed their prize this week attending a visit to Roker Pier. After being dropped off at the glass centre to have a look at the new exhibits the children enjoyed a glass blowing demonstration followed by a leisurely walk along the marina and onto Roker beach. After a quick pit stop for fish and chips the children visited Roker Pier.
With VIP access the boys and girls were lucky enough to have a guided tour through the tunnel that runs through the pier. This amazing experience was made even better by the friendly and comic volunteers who run the tours and made the visit extra special for the children, telling jokes and giving them souvenir stickers to take home, but not before a full access look around light ho use.
