Walk like an Egyptian
Class 2 at Broadway Junior School are studying Life in Egyptian times this half term and at Easter a challenge was set for the children to do some research and bring it into school. Mrs Walker and Mrs Giles however, were absolutely flabbergasted when Olivia arrived at school with the most amazing collection of models that anyone had ever seen. The presumption was that she had either bought or borrowed them only for staff to discover that Olivia has made them with the help of her grandad.
The models (which have to be seen to be believed) are made out of no other than old fashioned paper maiche and school has subsequently been in touch with Olivia’s grandad to see if he can find the time to work in school and share his talent and expertise as we’re all convinced that he’s missed his vocation in life.
Well done Olivia and of course her grandad!
