To raise awareness for World Mental Health Day, we came to school on Thursday dressed in yellow, or an outfit that made us feel good. We took part in activities that helped us to discuss what we think about mental health and how we may be able to support others, as well as sharing our feelings and giving words of wisdom to those who may be struggling. These words will be displayed in our corridors very soon!

At 2pm we took part in a BBC interactive lesson that showed us how to recognise different emotions and gave us some tips for self-care. In this lesson we looked at how important it is to have a growth mindset and if we really put our minds to something, we can achieve ANYTHING!

In some classes we voted for our new school council members and a common theme in the presentations was that our candidates want the children in our school to be happy, healthy and safe. This is a great start to wellbeing at Broadway!
