Four of our most talented Mathematicians visited Explore Learning at Sainsbury’s this week to take part in a ‘Young Mathematician of the Year’ competition. Competing against schools from across the North East region, our team completed a range of challenging mathematical and problem-solving activities showing excellent teamwork and communication skills.
At the end of the day the children had to present their work to an assessor who listened to the reasoning behind their methods. All of their work was then handed in and we are awaiting their results. If the team scored highly enough they will progress into the next round of the competition which takes place in London later on this year.
