Day 5

The last morning at Derwent Hill has once more dawned bright

and warm and better still they are packed in record time.

After a big breakfast the children will be making the most of the

last few hours visiting mines, orienteering, climbing the big swing

and cleaning all the mucky kit ready for the journey home.

Day 4

The children spent a beautiful morning canoeing on the lake.

An amazing afternoon was spent tackling the Gorge with lots of

laughs and challenges.  Then back to base to dry off, enjoy

their evening meal and to make the most of their

last night together.

Day 3

Another good night's sleep and the children woke refreshed and

raring to go. The weather was dry and the children made the

most of the clear skies and the breathtaking scenery.

Mrs Giles' group climbed Gowbarrow Fell and saw an

amazing waterfall and Mrs Hastie's group climbed to the

top of Dodd Summit, whilst Miss Carney's group

tackled rock climbing at Shepherd's Crag.

Day 2

After Breakfast the children wrapped up warm for another

action packed day.  Mrs Cooper's group climbed to the top

of Catbells and Mrs Hastie's group tackled Latrigg whilst

Mr Gowland's Group braved Gorge walking.  Everyone had a

fantastic day and returned back to base for a warm meal and

a good night's sleep.

Day 1

After arriving safely the children unpacked, made packed

lunches and set off for their first day of adventure.

Mrs Giles' group climbed Latrigg.
