We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing Community Chest Funding to create a wellbeing area in our school grounds.
In the summer term, a group of children helped to design a quiet outdoor space to be used for reflection and mindfulness activities. The children worked together to clear an unused area and now, with the funding in place, they will help create this special space which will benefit our whole school community.
Funding has also been granted to enable us to purchase additional picnic benches to provide more opportunities for outdoor learning and lunchtimes.
We would like to thank Councillor Antony Mullen (Barnes Ward) for supporting our application and Sunderland City Council for awarding us the funding.
