Dear parent/carer,

We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March 2022. As part of this celebration every primary school aged child will receive a special £1 book token. These are redeemable in all major bookstores; tokens can be used as £1 off any full price book, or can be exchanged for a special World Book Day Book. Just look out for the World Book Day stickers; please see the selection of books below. You could receive any of these amazing titles, absolutely free!

Dress as your favourite character.

To make World Book Day even more special the children can come to school dressed as a character from their favourite book if they wish; this should be great fun! They will also take part in other reading activities throughout the day.

Reading Competition

We will be running a reading competition over half term. The children simply need to record when, and what, they have read and return this to school. All entries will be in with a chance of winning a special prize. Look out for our ‘I am a reader’ – Reading Competition Form which the children will bring home this week. I am sure you will agree that reading is of great importance and we really do appreciate all of your support.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Walker
